Stephen G. Lennon Sr. of Florence Township passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec 3, 2014, at Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mount Holly.
Born and raised in the Tacony section of Philadelphia, he lived in Willingboro for 20 years before moving to Florence 35 years ago.
He was a 1953 graduate of North East Catholic High School in Philadelphia.
Mr. Lennon retired 14 years ago as a systems analyst for the Unisys Corp. in Bluebell, Pa., after 27 years of service.
He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan, and enjoyed gardening, traveling and art painting.
He was a member of st. Clare's Church, and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ann Romano Lennon; three daughters, Robin Pangaldi of Lawrenceville, Suzanne Young (John) of Valley Forge, Pa., and Karen Sitzler of Jacksonville, Fla., a son, Stephen G. Lennon Jr. (Andrea) of Amelia Island, Fla., and his adoring grandchildren. Gabrielle, Angelo, Katelyn, Stephen III, and Brittany.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, at St. Clare's Church, 232 E. Front St., Florence. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at Dennison Funeral Home, 214 West Front St., Florence. Interment will be in Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge, Pa.
