Obituary for Frederick Morgan

Frederick M. Morgan of Titusville passed away into God’s loving and eternal care on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Capital Health System in Hopewell Township. He was 66. Born in Riverside and raised in Beverly, he had been a Titusville resident for the last 25+ years. Fred retired as an auditor for the N.J. Department of Taxation in Trenton after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Maple Shade for nearly 40 years. He enjoyed playing his guitar and mandolin and owned numerous vintage instruments. He enjoyed traveling to music festivals and concerts to see the musicians he admired. He was an avid fisherman who rented a home on the beach in Barnegat Light for the month of October each year. He was very generous and donated to various charities on a regular basis. His goal was to be a vessel for the Lord’s work in the world and not accumulate earthly belongings for himself. He was a devoted son who completed many home improvements and projects for his mother. Fred managed her affairs for many years. He will be missed, and he made the world a better place. Son of the late Albert B. Morgan, he is survived by his 100 year old mother, Margaret (Lyon) Morgan of Beverly; his brother and sister-in-law, Albert L. Morgan and Susan Morgan of Warminster, Pa.; and his two nephews, Andrew M. Morgan (Abigail) and Brian A. Morgan (Jackie). The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at the Dennison- McGee Funeral Home, 869 Beverly Road, Burlington, where relatives and friends will be received by the family from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Fred’s name may be sent to the Immanuel Baptist Church, 233 E. Main St., Maple Shade, NJ 08052.
