Lois Massari of Laurel, Md., formerly of Bordentown, passed away into God's loving and eternal care on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at NMS Healthcare, Annapolis, Md. She was 69.
Born in Riverside, she lived in Bordentown City most of her life before moving to Maryland nearly three years ago. Lois worked as a crossing guard for Bordentown City Schools for several years. She liked gardening and watching cooking shows on TV.
She was member of the Red Hat Club, was an avid Bingo player, and was very fond of her dog, Baxter.
Lois was the daughter of the late James and Myrtle (Smith) Bowker; sister of the late Sherry Merlino; and wife for 48 years of the late Bruno 'Larry' Massari Jr.
She was the devoted mother of her two daughters, Andrea Massari and Beth Ann Audet (Glen), all of Laurel, Md.; the loving grandmother of Kevin, Kieron, Siobhan and Maoliosa; dear sister of Betty Gordon and Evelyn Whitman, both of Bordentown, Jacqueline Huber of Delran, and Kathy McNinney of Fla.; and aunt of many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct.13, at The Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W. Front Street, Florence, where relatives and friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow in Bordentown Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dennison Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
