Jesse L. Cave of Leisuretown passed away into God's loving and eternal care Monday, March 6, 2017, at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly. He was 94.
Born in Paulsboro and raised in Woodbury, he lived in Cape May for 20 years before moving to Leisuretown 13 years ago.
Mr. Cave was a retired tractor trailer truck driver for the Teamsters Union in Collingswood. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal.
He was a very hardworking man and a very devoted father. Over the years, Mr. Cave traveled all throughout the United States. He enjoyed working cars and anything mechanical.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Leah Jane (Fritz) Cave; his daughter, Dianne Hallowell (Mike), and his son, Jesse W. Cave. He also is survived by his grandchildren, Shelly Hallowell, Amanda Graff and Jesse and Katie Cave; and great-grandchildren, Hayden and Raleigh Graff.
Services and interment in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
